Key Responsibilities

Provide support to Legal function for Japan and be responsible but not limited to the following areas:
・Provide day-to-day legal counseling to sales, marketing, commercials and functions. Work closely with all levels of divisions and functions of the organization
・Coordinate and work closely with other members of the Legal Department worldwide.
・Research various business law issues and advise on the viability of business strategies, draft agreements, and review company documents in accordance with company policy and applicable laws and regulations.
・Prepare and deliver training/educational presentations to divisional and functional units.
・Handle disputes, arbitration, litigation and other business-related legal matters by cooperation with outside counsel.
・From time to time, support new business development activities (distributor arrangements, licensing, etc.); negotiating and drafting term sheets and agreements, and helping to integrate acquired entities in the business.
・Support compliance-related matters such as review of company interactions with healthcare professionals, establishment of policies, training on compliance-related topics, investigations of potential violations of the company’s code of ethics and other compliance-related policies.
・Report and/or consult promptly the matters above mentioned to Japan General Counsel.

応募条件

【必須事項】
・Japanese Law degree, Japanese bar qualification
・Min of 3 years’ work experience ideally in the multi-national environment either before or after obtaining Japanese bar qualification
・Ability to clearly and concisely explain legal situations to business and other non-lawyers
・Capacity to approach issues not only from a legal but also from a commercial perspective.
・Ability to maintain confidentiality with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity
・Self-starter with a high degree of flexibility
・Ability to draft documents in English and Japanese.
